Programmes Online is a web-based programme planning tool designed to make it easier for adults to plan programmes for young people. The tool will enable adults to build, store, print and email custom programmes for their Section meetings and nights away events. The tool can be used in a number of ways, in addition to building complete programmes there is option to search for one activity. Click on "Create a new programme" or "Search for activities" to get started.

Note from Bob Wilson, District safety Co-ordinator:

I am gradually getting around to see all District Group Executive Committees to both introduce myself to all and give an outline of Safety issues. These are summed up as various Risks, mainly, but not only, from General Hazards and Fire and follow not only from the Scout Association Policy but also from legal requirements. All activities should be assessed for risk (not every time unless some aspect changes) and all premises should be assessed for compliance with fire regulations. More information is available from the Scout Association website. I have attached ( Download as zip file here ) a small presentation and a number of relevant papers with suggested formats, I am still hoping to simplify them where possible; please feel free to use or modify them for you own use or use your exiting version if applicable. I would like a copy eventually if possible for information and maybe merge into a general format.

This year has allowed a relatively early start to the camping and outdoor activity season; many Groups/Sections have already taken advantage of it. Don't forget that campsites are a form of premises and consequently should be assessed for hazards in a similar way as your HQ; particularly equipment, activities, cooking and so on.

If I have not been to your meeting yet I am working on it but meanwhile please contact me if you have any questions.

Lastly, have an enjoyable safe year.

Best regards,

Bob.
