Welcome

Earleywood Campsite is now managed and run by South and South East Berkshire District Scout Councils.

Earleywood Campsite is situated in a glade of woodland in the Berkshire countryside. Just out of the village of Sunninghill approximately 2 miles away from Ascot, and 5 miles away from Windsor.

The site is open throughout the year for use by Scouts and Guides. The site has excellent facilities for meetings.

Earleywood has 12 individual camp sites located across the site in small open areas of woodland. It is great for traditional camping and patrol camps.  Earleywood offers the following facilities:

  • Two buildings
  • The Rowney Building, hall with a large kitchen, includes cookers, fridges, hot water and heating.
  • The Scout Centre, one large main room ( carpeted ), kitchen and two smaller rooms which are ideal for separating leaders / young people.

There are also hot water showers and toilets ( male and female ).

  • Toilet / wash block ( cold water ). There are hot showers available for campers if the buildings are not in use
  • Main arena / activity area
  • Climbing tower
  • Camp fire circle
  • Chapel
  • Fireplaces on individual sites with plenty of wood available from the wood pile
  • Pioneering poles available ( please bring your own rope )
  • Water supply on site
